Real Life UX
UX is everywhere and we experience in our everyday lives may it be at home, work or the shop on the corner, it will either go unnoticed or you'll complain about it.
Doors. Perfect example of good and bad UX. We've all done it, pushed a pull or pulled a push. But sometimes you'll push that push first time, because the door works how you expect it to, no confusing what looks to be a pull handle, but a smooth, flat steel plate for you to push against. This is good UX, it doesn't frustrate you and works first time without any surprises.
This is the kind of thing you have to think about when creating UX.
- What’s natural to a user?
- What does the user expect to happen?
- How will it work when interacted with?
- What will the user instinctively be looking for?
